Public toilets = primitive forums??

I was thinking while in the can just now (as most ppl do) and while pondering I believe that such facilities resemble an un-moderated forum. I mean most toilets around my uni are pretty filled with nice topics as gay jokes, cute pictures of body parts and hatred towards arabic ppl (no idea why, I think arabs are swell considering I am one :P ). All of these also have nice replies to them also some of which go all over the wall.

Anyway do you think my hair brained idea is true or I am just a raving loony ~bleh~ :flick_ton with too much time on my hands? (or both I mean such idea can only come raving loonies anywho :flick_ton )

haha! im isolated to private schools and safe malls so I am yet to encounter such bathrooms. But yeah.. the idea is intruiging. People drawing graffiti on public fascilities and others replying to said writing. right! primitive forum XD kewl

It is true. I've seen some writings about wanting to have sex with a certain person. It isn't really restricted to public bathrooms though. In the speech lab of my school there are tables that have a large amount of grafitti on them. Some say that whoever is using the table has no penis, then there are replies like this guy is gay. It really is quite childish though

I only saw that back in high school... it ranges from hatred towards a certain student... to declaring their rabu for another. and well... some mean jokes, as you said. I hardly see any of those at UBC, if there is vandalism in the bathroom, it's usually one thing scrawled on the cubicle wall. :) Maybe they just clean it up so fast everyday... I dunno. @_@

Hmmm the only thing I saw in the bathroom was like, "REMEMBER TO CLEAN YOUR HANDS ONCE YOU TAKE A DUMP!!!" but in HS I did put a paper in front of the urinator and it was written: "THE PRETTIEST OF ALL GIRLS" and there was names and guys voted for the prettiest :x

my school bathrooms are filled with graffitti. so much so, they have bi-monthly repaintings. but sometimes you can find some really interesting stuph. I do about 4 roadtrips a year, and there is some crazy shiz written on the walls. I started carrying a notepad around just to write down this stuph. Even some of the art is sweeeet. but the rest is crude. Ah well, nuthin's perfect.

My school's too stuck up for graffiti in the bathroom. It does help that the bathroom doors are also black so you can't see a thing written on it.

In my old school in El Sereno, there were layers upon layers of tagging on the bathroom, mostly exclaiming of whoe's the latest slut around, the latest gay jokes, and every once in a restroom wall "ESR IS GOING TO KICK YOUR *BEEP**BEEP* YOU F'*BEEP*". Once in East L.A, there was a debate on 911 in one of the stalls, defending the soldiers, or going against the soldiers because they were fighting.

People really need to find something else to do in the bathroom.

Oh man. I was in a bathroom at UCSD once and there were formal paragraphs written on the inside of the door to the stall. It was talking about liberal and conservative stuff...it was funny. Intelligent graffiti. XD

We don't have much writing, as my school solves the defacing problems in the bathrooms by doing one thing when they find it: they close down the bathrooms in that particular building of whatever sex has been doing the writing. At one point all but one men's room was closed... XD

One thing I've seen before that building's facilities were closed for the day: "Number of dumps taken:" and then there was a tally that ran up to twenty-five. XD

Well, in my first year of living on campus resident, the floor "leader" put up bathroom surveys. Like a question on a sheet of paper in the bathroom, with questions such as, "If you became a man/woman for one day, what would you do?"

the only time i remembered seeing actual graffiti in a bathroom was that awful time i went to this amusement park in taiwan. the friggin toilets are the floor darn it!!! XD it was traumatic for me! hehehe.. i could barely make out what the stuff are written cuz all of it is in chinese but there are a lot of obsene things drawn around o.o; but oddly enough.. the thought that came to my head was that i would not dare think about how the boys bathrooms would look like XD

but maybe it's a girl and boys bathroom thing afterall. i bet there are more stuff written in your restrooms than ours

As for the boys/girls thing, thats probably right. Since a lot of guys are wierd and perverted, they probably do write a lot more. I can't be sure though. I've never been to a woman's bathroom, so I can't compare between the two.
