Heya, why don't we post our prom stories here? I saw the prom plans thread, and thought, hey, why don't we post our prom stories...

Anyways, I was going to meet my date for the first time.. (Yeah, wierd, I know)... So I picked her up... at the military base where she lived... @.@ Needless to say, I was scared of her dad... good thing he wasn't there. Well, I met her mom, said good evening, answered some questions. She had no curfew... good for her.

Anyways, we talked nonstop going to the prom. We met up with my friends, blah blah, the usual... as we waited for the thing to start. We got our pics early, trying to avoid the long lines later on... We wererved some food, like this pork thing that was hard to slice. I didn't eat much... BOTOMLESS ICED TEA!!!

Anyways, some bands played (school bands) then the awards were given out. Then the dancing started. It was my first time dancing, and it has to be one of the most enjoyable things I have ever done.. :)

We stopped two hours later, got some group pics. We went to greenbelt (a kind of mall/ strip of restaurants) for some REAL food, but I found out I had a freaking curfew... so, we just got some nice cold drinks from starbucks... I brought her home at around 2:30 in the morning... kinda early actually... Anyways, good times.

I often see the prom as the last attempt to bring my ex and I closer together when we were still together. When he first asked me, he kind of went "You know the prom.. right? ... Well you're going with me" *shrugs* He was never the nicest of guys ^^;. Anyway last year it was at the Long Beach Aquarium. We got there by limo *__* which was probably the best part of the night XD. The dance floor was tiny, and the aquarium people got mad when we went upstairs to look at the marine life. The food was not the best, but it was food. The music was horrible and they must have played that rkelly song (the one that goes "toot toot, beep beep") about once every hour.. and the first slow song we had was after they announced the prom king and queen.. they played the little mermaid song >.> i want to be where the people are.. and fifteen minutes before midnight the speakers blew out. the stupid deejay thought it would be cool to smack things around and call it "music". Yeah, so we left. we got our lame parting gifts and asked the driver of the limo to take us to dennys.

i remember we were listening to dj sammy's feat. yaneou 'heaven' in the limo when i fell asleep XD. Anywho, we walked into dennys (with me half asleep on my date's arm) and ordered food. i fell asleep on my ice cream :D. and then later, the group i went asked the driver to take us to sav-on. he took us to the one down the street from my house, but no, the group wanted to go to the other sav on, in a different city. and i walked in half asleep again. and then we go back to one of the guy's house, and sit around for another hour or so.. and came home around four XD.

Anyways, my stupid prom story is that I was trying to recurl some of my hair that had straightened since I went to the stylist to get it done. The curling iron was sitting on the toilet and I reached over it to get some hair pins and burnt the living crap out of my arm. It instantly blistered to about an inch high, and was like 2 inches long by and inch thick in size. 5 minutes later my bf arrived and I was in serious pain throughout the whole night, and had to carry an aloe vera bottle in my purse. My bf dissaproved of my dress b/c it showed a lot of skin and dissed me all night. We went out camping that night in some farmers backyard (he didn't know about it) and not only did I have this huge ass burn on my arm, but I was on my period. I had to pee and do "womanly" things in the damn forest and drank too much till I passed out. It was a horrid experience, but my dress was fantastic.

This was like 4 years ago, but I'm still bitter about it :p

Mine was somewhat hilarious. People were asked to wear something in 'red' as it's the official colour of our faculty. My friends and I spent loads of time on finding the 'right' dress as there weren't many nice red dresses around at the time [and it's not a perfect option either!]. Well, let's say that we managed to get ones that weren't weird, after all. =P I was so jealous of men on how easy to find the clothes!

The party itself wasn't that eventful as everyone seemed to be too eager on photo taking. It seemed as though we wouldn't have had any more reasons and time to gather in the future, some of us noticed. The music wasn't nice. Even it were, no one paid attention to it, anyway. To me, it was like a cocktail dinner as people only enjoyed themselves chatting and taking photos. There weren't many joining the party as the place was bit far and some were bored of getting stuck in tough traffics. Well, at least there are something nice to remember, anyway.

^^; I'm just scared is all, last time I went to something this important I ended up in a relationship for about 3 1/2 years (and in the state I live in, after 6 months its considered a common law marrige) but yeah, Iz really comfy with that guy...my date for tonight tweaks me out half the time...^^;

*screams and bounces around* Prom was the 5hit! god I danced with 15+ people! non stop for 5 hours straight! and am going out to have fun after I get dressed ^.^ (teh woohoo! 5 partys schedualed and ima go to atleast 3 of 'em) aww, so fun, I dun know how many people I took pictures (I didn't even know about 5 guys I took pictures with, so many damn group pictures, I'll be seeing spots for a week) can't wait to get my pictures back! my date dyed his hair to match my nails and my dress ^.^ so kool, ok I'm done lol ta!

Prom stories... everything went horribly insane that day. My dad decided to go grocery shopping an hour before my hair/make-up appointment.. was 30 mins late to my appointment, my friend who's driving us there was also late for her appointment, so she picked us up (in her Celica *_*) an hour late. On our way to the hotel, we got lost since my dad accidentally gae us the wrong directions... turning right was really supposed to be a left. 30 minutes late to the prom. Took a billion pictures... food was good. Danced so much... I hardly had time to breathe. XD; ANd uhh more dancing and more picture taking.

my prom was just last weekend... Mike's friend Jon came down from Canada to take my friend Linda to the prom, so the four of us hung out a lot for the few days before the prom that Jon was here... anyhow, about 10 of us got a limo together--the driver had some sort of speaking disorder and he amused me to death ^^; and...so...yeah... not much to tell about the prom itself...I accidentally spilled a cup of coke all over the tablecloth ^^;;;;;;;, the klutz that I am ~_~; but...afterwards, we went for some ice cream and then congregated at Linda's house to watch a movie

In England, we only really have one prom, and mine isn't for over a year yet. Well, i'm sure i'll have a date by then. If not, group of friends it is. I'd like a very stylish tux, too.

a bunch of us met at my house, and then we went out for dinner. we finished dinner early, so we came back to my house and took more pictures. we crammed ourselves into two cars, and went to prom. the car i wasn't in got lost, so after they called several times we all went in and danced around(note: not real dancing...i'm sure it looked quite special...at one point, i surved eric(the one in the pimp suit))then about nine of us went to emily's house for a bonfire. we played who's line is it anyway-type games and generally acted silly. donnie is faaaaar too good at acting like a trucker. like...whoa. and then we went to ihop...the waitress we had is a senior at our school, but since she goes to night school she wasn't allowed to go to prom...and she found out wednesday. =/ and we were there at like three in the morning...and we were all trickling in and our orders were coming in at different times...let's just say we left a nice tip. then most of the girls went to catherine's house to sleep and watch office space(which i now own...yay.) and actually, i'm the only one who made it through the whole movie...i think it was about 7:30 when i went to sleep...and then we woke up at nine. catherine's mom made a maaassive breakfast--pancakes, whipped butter, fruit, whipped cream. it was goooood. and then we doddled around until not too long ago. and then i took mary home. and i got to my own house at about eleven thirty the morning after.

it was a good night. :)

I had some contraversy for my prom.

I asked this guy out for prom (since I study in al all girl school, we ask the guys or we get set-upped by someone else). He was already about to accept a set-up from another girl for prom but I made a move and asked him personally, thank God he agreed. Btw, he's a really GOOD looking guy. That was several months before the prom.

Then weeks before the prom, I fell for another guy. And I was so superficial at that time, I did not reject my soon-to-be date becuase i was thinking "the guy should be good-looking so that people won't comment on how bad looking my date is, etc etc etc.." so I ended up choosing the better looking guy (which is the guy I asked in the first place rather than the guy I really liked).

Prom night, he picked me up. We went to the venue. And everything went well. He's the sweetest guy ever that night. We did fast dances, slow dances. And then I was thinking, "holy sheit. i'm committed to another guy and I'm falling for my date!". While we were doing the slow dances, a couple I know came dancing nearby and the girl (my friend), looked at my face and whispered, "hey! don't you like him?", then my face went more worried. Then my date kissed me on the cheek. So my friend was *gasp!* then she left. (nooo.. don't leave meeeee...)

I was shocked. Dumbfounded. Hell no.

He didn't bring me home, my mom picked me up and we went home (thank God my mom did! Lol). But yeah, I went home dazed and "in love". It's called prom magic.

Then the OTHER guy i liked, he found out about it. *insert another long story here*. But we're ok now. :)

Then I found out that my date really liked me back then. He just didn't want to make a move coz he's about to enter college and he knows that there are a LOT of things that will happen that can hurt me.

Oh well, lesson: Don't be superficial and NEVER NEVER fall for prom magic. :|

I've always hated dances, especially prom because of the outrageous price. I went my sophomore year. One of my friends had been telling me that this one girl really wanted to go to prom with me. A few of my friends were going to the prom as well, so I decided to ask the girl and give dances a chance. The girl seemed really happy to go, so I thought it would be a good night.

When we got there, I forget the theme, but you know that it had to be something stupid. The DJ wasn't that bad, but he didn't play a lot of our requests even though he had a sign-up list to choose songs. I didn't much care. My date looked awesome btw, but sad thing is she ditched me during the whole thing to go flirt with this other guy. That ticked me. I was just free dinner, ticket, and transportation for this girl to come and hang on some other guy's arm. A lot of my friends decided to not even show up for the dance, so I secluded myself to sitting at a table and watching the big group of Seniors dance.

After the dance got over (Actually, when a lot of the Seniors began to come into the dance half-drunk) we decided to leave. I took her home and hunted down my friends that didn't go to prom. I found them at Paul's house (all decked out in their tuxes and dresses oddly) I made myself at home at their little party and crashed under the pooltable.

I don't do dances anymore. It's a waste. Although I wish I went to my Senior prom because of the stupid get-ups my friends had on. Brandon wore a suit he made out of duct-tape. James wore a pink suit. And Eddie... wore a kilt.

Duct-tape, niftay! I wish there had been amusing getups at my Prom (which was the week before last).

Prom was... well nothing went quite to plan but most people had a good time.
#1: For ages my friend Baker had been telling everyone that he was going to wear a wedding dress to Prom, but of course he chickened out and just wore a tux. As prom was pretty non-eventful he managed to convince a pretty-drunk-Sarah to swap clothes with him, and after much pissing about in toilets they were the first couple on the dance floor.

#2: One of those you had to be there situations, but at the 'after party', Spud drank Baker's pee. "Where's my drink gone?" "No Spud, it's not that one." "Spud no don't drink that!" "Spud I pissed in that!"
Spud is notorious for his drunken stupidity. Couple of weeks previously he stuck his head through Diaper's window, and got naked on our Leavers Day. :eek: Also at the after party he ran waving the toilet paper around 'cause it had fishes on it straight into a tree.

Another fun moment was the whole of my year doing the Macaraina all at once (something that'll stay in my nightmares forever).

Wow... prom seems so long ago, ahaha.
