For those of you who occassionally watch horse racing, Smarty Jones lost. ;_; SOOO CLOSE to winning the Triple Crown for the first time in 26 years, and he didn't win. WAH!

heh....yeah, its been that way for the last couple of years...Funny Side went in to Belmot a favorivte to win last year, but lost too XD

Yeah. It soooo sucks. Ten Rock Hard was racing, too. The owner got booed. xD

Affirmed. Secrariat just gets a bigger name prolly because of the 31 league margin.

I feel so bad for the people behind Smarty Jones. They put so much time and effort into Smarty. And the crowd was definitely in downers. Like, no one was clapping for Birdstone. It was quite a race and I was thinking that if it wasn't Smarty then I would have loved to see Rock Hard Ten get it (Such a pretty horse...*.*), but neither of them did....so sad so sad....

It's a shame Smarty couldn't take the Triple Crown, but he and all the people behind him will hold a place in my heart for their inspirational story ^^

I figured he wouldn't win it. The Triple Crown takes a lot out of a racehorse.

The odd thing was, all the experts were saying he would win. That's what my dad told me. @_@ I was so hoping that he could win it. It DID seem like he would win, but at the last minute it all changed.
