Revival?

It's been a long long time since I've been to Met, but did everyone just get lives, or lose interest? I notice people are around every now and then, but noone really posts. How long has it been like this, and what are some ways we can change it?

i know whatcha mean...i think everyone just got lives and stuff...that's what happened to me but i miss the old days when the rpg would take up my life ~sigh~ hanging out with Xion, Hotaru and everyone
~nods~ that was fun...my main focus here was the rpg so i'm trying to rejoin it with my character...trying to make her last longer than the last char i had in this rpg ~shakes head~

I haven't been on this board very long, so I guess I can't really be revived. x.x This isn't my first message board, and everyone is usually the most attached to their first. ^~

I tend hang out here and up pop up whenever I'm bored or feel like it. *shrugs*

Very off topic, but I strong believe that your first character should be played out traditionally. That is, minimal tanking and leeching. Otherwise you'll miss a goodly portion of the game. =) And if you're making a support acolyte for the first time, that character should DEFINATLEY be leveled via supporting the first time around else you'll miss out on a lot of the practice needed for when you hit priest.

I've been offer a leech for my sin to get the remaining 61% till level 99, but I would much rather fight my way there (even if I'm already taking a short cut) because in the end that character will maen that much more to me.

Besides, we don't play just to tank/leech people. We play to play, and any free tanking is done at our discretion.

I remember back in the day, when I had to walk through seven feet of snow to get to Metropolis, there would have been 40 responses in the hour!

Whatever, Silas was sleepy, and it was dark in the cave, and Sohee had given Silas some refreshing tee that was very heavy. Took a nap. Did kill Moonie's puppies anyway, I got the proof.

Blah, I play RO all day long or sit here and stare at an open Word document "writing."

Met is kind of slumping since it's original days... I still remember the first summer it was open and I met all of the people who are now good friends of mine online. Crazy times we've had. Hopefully things will pick up again. I think the main problem is 1) no one visits due to lack of time, 2) we like Ragnarok too much (/heh), 3) no one makes any new topics and the RPG is moving like sludge... which I'm partially at fault for since I stopped posting months ago because of school.

if the older members don't show up often enough because of their own respected reasons, then it is up to every concerned member to do their bit of help to revive the forum. let's all do a massive plug about Metropolis in blogs, LJ's, other communities (that will let you), in RO even, to bring in a few more members. just... bring up the rules for quick newbie reference so there'll be minimal rudeness that do happen in such advertising campaigns. (yeah, i know that must worry everyone of us in some way, however elitist that must sound) do tell friends about joining us. :D

Anyway, seriosuly, I find a lot of the "popular" general forums before mostly dying or inactive. If the forum isn't focused on a certain fandom, ie: anime/manga, harry potter, etc, then you'll find the inactivity disease. :x

And no one makes new threads in Reese's because most of the topics being discussed now have sections for them. Other than that, it's probably been discussed before, or people can't just come up with something interesting to discuss or whatever. :3
