View Full Version : What are the reputation points for?
Just a question, but what are the reputation points for...?
Why do I have so many even though I barely have any posts? I've seen users with 5 times are many posts as me and they don't have half as many as I do.
And is it a bad thing mine are red? Y.Y?

Umm, as of right now I don't think they have any real function. They came when the admins upgraded the board and they've been here since. People can give you a + or - depending on if they like your post or not... but it doesn't mean anything I don't think.

It just came with the upgrade. I guess we can use them for something, though for now they're just for fun, and for others to get an idea of how your posts bode with the general population of the board.
Do other users give you points for your reputation, or do you just receive them when people reply to your posts and topics?
Or is it a combination of both?
I seem to have quite a large number considering I only have 20-some posts. o.o I didn't think I made much of an impression... ^^;;

In a thread someone clicks on the "reputation" link below your name on the left-hand side. They can then rate you with "Approve" or "Disapprove." How many of these it takes to move your reputation bar up one square, or down, is beyond me.
Everyone starts with a base reputation that is the same, and posts don't seem to affect them.
