Ack I bought the game today and installed it, no problem. But when I start the game this is was what happens:
the intro (ads) run fine, sound and visuals
once the menu comes up the music plays and then starts to hesitate or something...and the screen freezes, the mouse will move but i can't select any of the options on the menu.
i then have to press ctrl alt delete to close the game since it won't respond
can anyone help me out here? my comp is up to date in everything i've got an ATI Radeon 9600 video card, my comp meets all the min requirements...i have no idea what's wrong!
help please thanks!
I guess I'm probably not going to be of much help here, but you might want to look at this forum (http://bloodlines.dilapidation.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewforum&f=14&sid=63f8a7a46b7511844d5f4200d5e47e05) since there are posts out the wazoo. I'll bet someone out there is experiencing the same technical difficulties that you are.
Good luck!

I don't know the requirements for this game so sorry if I make it sound like you have a slow comp or something, which I wouldn't even know anyway xD~. Do you meet just the min requirements, or the recommended? Min requirements are usually what's needed to load the game, but not necessarily to actually run it. Another possibility is that you have too many background programs running, or that your computer has spyware/viruses/etc.
For example, Ragnarok Online runs fine on my 4.5 year old computer that's 800mHz and with early generation graphics card. I can even load up other applications like IE, Aim, mirc, MSWord, Photoshop (sometimes) etc, and performance is generall fine. However, when I load up RO on the new computer that has 2.8GHz and a snazzy new graphics card, it lags to hell and back and the entire system randomly freezes up. There are a lot of applications/processes running in the background for the newer computer, and my sister(s) somehow keep getting spyware and other stuff on it that slows it down (it only took them one week to screw up the computer -_-).
Anyway, that's just something you can look into. If your hardware is right, then the only possibly problem is software.

Rwen, time to get new comptuer!
Rwen, time to get new comptuer! We're not all rich like you Eric. :( Stop making us feel bad.
Let me rephrase that then, we don't have as much money as you do.
If Eric is poor, then we are poor-er.
If you were older a few years, you would pull in more money.

Sometimes that happens because of a driver conflict, try updating your vid & sound cards' drivers from the manufacturer web site.
If you were older a few years, you would pull in more money. When I go on my first work term next May, I'll try to make sure to report back to you first as to how much I'll be making. :D Of course, that's not going to be "a few years", but whatever.
I made $7 bucks an hour when I was freagging 16, so give me a break. :)
