Writing and Frustration

I just stayed up all night to write a paper that turned out sucky. I hate it when that happens. So there goes any chance for an A in sociology.....

This is SO frustrating! It's like I've lost the ability to write. This was the easiest essay assignment (for me) in terms of understanding in a fairly easy class; granted, it's super-hard to summarize a deep sociology book in five pages, but still....it shouldn't have been this hard. I understood the topic and was interested in it (c'mon, racialization and religion!) so why did my essay spiral out of my control at the end and crash and burn?!

I just don't get it. This isn't the first paper I've botched this semester. I'm all over the place; I wrote a few really good ones and a few real stinkers. Some English major I am.....*depressed* How the heck am I going to survive four English classes next sem with writing "skills" like this?

OK! Enough sulking! Now I'm just waiting for the semester to end so I can practice writing the entire summer! :)

Ah yes, I've gone through many a time where my ability to write convincing BS died at the worst time possible. =( Don't be so stressed out about the paper. It might be better than you expected ... which happened a lot to me.

Too true...I've written some REALLY bad papers and the teacher gave me As....On the one hand, I'm relieved cuz my grade is safe and at the same time I'm unhappy (as ungrateful as that seems) because I knkow I could've done so much better and I didn't deserve that grade....Ah, well....

One more paper to go!!!!!!!!! This one I'm going to half-BS...I don't like the poem and I know she doesn't really want to grade it so I get the feeling it's going to be my crappiest paper this semester.....

That happens to me all the time. I'd half-assed essays and get 100's from a teacher that doesn't give 100's on writing. //twitch\\

What time is it now? 7:30 in the morning. Did I stay up all night again? Yes.....Good thing I slept all afternoon; I'm still fairly lucid and the paper's actually turning out...not good, but mostly ok. Sad....I'm putting less effort into this one and it's turning out better than the one I wrote the previous night. ^^;;;;

I am also one of those incapable of BS-ing essays... I remember I'd get low grades in my religion exams because even though I put in all the objective stuff the teachers were looking for, I totally thrashed the stuff I didn't believe in.. :p

Happens to people a lot. Sometimes I think too fast that when I finally try to write it down it spirals out of control...

I BS essays a lot. I'd say I'm fairly good at it, but it must be really hard for people who can't. x.x

I can't do shit when I get writer's block though. :X
