View Full Version : Moving around in a fourth (or alternate) dimension?
Do you walk fast or slow? (Yeah, I know, I didn't make a poll this time)
I personally walk (really?) fast as I don't really like to waste time. Thus, it is obviously not very uncommon for people to get in my way when I'm trying to speed my way around. Most people are nice enough to move over and let people past, but some people just don't seem to get the fact that there are people behind waiting to get going (probably most prevalent on escalators).
So I was wondering what would it be like if everybody walked on an alternate dimension of sorts? You could just walk as fast or as slow as you'd like, but you'd never get in anyone's way since they'd go right past you. If you have to catch up to a friend and slap on his back to get his attention, just the thought, act, or "willing" of it will transfer you back to the physical plane (people that read fantasy should be familiar with the word plane in the dimensional sense, for those that don't, uh, just replace plane with world, I guess), or to "his" dimension, which would allow you to make contact with him instead of having your hand go through him.
So, yay or nay?

I don't see a problem with the alternate deminsion thing :B. It seems like a hassle having to switch between dimensions. I also like being able to touch people as I am now, and I don't think I'd be all that comfortable if people went right through me. It would just be a lot easier if people just learned how to walk around, or ask polietely if they could please move. xD
I usually walk slowly if I am walking with somebody. I like being able to talk to them without losing my breath :B. I walk fairly quickly otherwise.
I walk pretty fast. I drive like a taxi driver.

how would you know where your friend is if you and he are in another dimension? :D

I walk kinda fast, like im hurrying to get somewhere, when im walking alone. but when im walking with friends we walk really slow because we're all talking, I guess. I hate it when im trying to get somewhere or catch up to someone but people are walking SO slow in front of you >< Or when they're standing in the middle of the road/sidewalk/hallway and talking to people. It annoys me soo much! ><

Their physical bodily outline can be seen in all dimensions...so there!

OMG, you guys would hat my campus. It's so bad, but the bad walkers are so common in type, I've given them names. If you think it's bad getting stuck behind "Wandering Cell Phone Girl" while you're walking, just imagine getting stuck behind her when you're riding your bike.
I will say that I'm a little worried about "5 o'clock crazy munbling old guy". I haven't seen him in like 2 weeks.

Espically at malls D: It's cool that you want to talk to your friends while walking, but don't take up the entire isle!
And I hate it how they make faces at me when I shove my way through. If anybody should be making faces, it should be me D:

It was always so annoying at school. My friend and I would be in a hurry because its a long walk from one class to the other, and we're trying to walk fast between people but its so hard! lol There were these 3 guys walking really slow in front of us and one was really big and he was taking up almost the entire half of the hallway. If we tried to cross around them we'd get smushed by the people coming in the opposite direction..my friend tried to go past and the big almost smacked her in the head (he was making gestures to his friends while talking lol)! Its so dangerous..the alternate dimension seems like a good solution lol.
