This was a music video made by North Koreans. Now, in regards to the U.S, North Korean tensions, I side with no one. I laughed my ass off when I saw this.

I don't really think there is a right or wrong in the issue, or rather, I should say both sides are to a certain degree at fault, but personally I think the true threat that north korea shows (WMD, nukes or whatever) is better than the hypocracy from Bush ("peace, freedom, democracy blahblahblah")

but yes that video was hilarious

Oh yes, I should also clarify that I don't take a side on the issue either because well, from what the media says, I think North Korea is being very well, irresponsible in touting their nukes and threating to send them attacking other coutries as if the aftermath won't affect them as well as the rest of the world. But, as Yukie (Lacus) pointed out, the hypocrisy (goddamned spelling) that is Mr. Bush is just so embarassing and... oh gods. While I don't want to age, I want 2009 to come faster so that he can be forced from office and hopefully whoever runs that year won't be so narrowmided. I'm sick of hearing this bullshit about "peace", "freedom", "democracy based on 'American' (re: Dubbya's) values"....

personally I think on the issue of North Korea, the American government is being overly sensitive... I honestly don't think they will fire the nukes, the North Korean government is stupid but not that stupid and not about to piss the entire world off. Not to mention that the other Asian countries will be the first to go against the idea, including its allies. But the US just can't stand to see a nuke in the hands of a country that is openly their enemy... well if you are so afraid of becoming the target, stop making so many fucking enemies in the world!

Also, the north korean government is held by a family power trapped in an utterly corrupt and isolated environment, and from that you can see that they have no interest in "conquoring the world". I think to the rich and powerful who aren't that talented, all they really want is to preserve their life style and keep living in their luxury. the fact that they flaunt the nukes at the US and refuse peace talks seems more like a sort of arrogance or show-off that comes from being all powerful in their own realm. The act is demanding more respect from the US government I guess which if you'll notice... Bush would do something stupid that pisses them off without using his brain, N.Korea would be like, oh really, well too bad then, I guess I'm not going to the peace talk after all. and then the Bush government would be like, oh shit oh shit, what should we do now???

Frankly, North Korea is not remotely a military threat. Sure, they can lob a few nukes at us. However, our new stealth bombers and fighters can easily sneak underneath their radar and hit their silos and such without then knowing about it. Hell, our Apache choppers took out Iraqi radar installations without them knowing about it or reporting that they were struck before the start of this Iraq war.

Personally, I think we should tell Jong to shut the fuck up. If they want modern technology, medicine, etc... then maybe a deal can be brokered to our advantage as we don't really want anything they have (short of them dismantling their 1940s era nukes). If Jong gives us a finger, we'll hit a few of his missile installations and see if he'll give us the finger some more.

Meh. I just can't wait for 2009 to come, either. I really hate the fact that the country is being run by idiots. *sigh* More voice should go to the younger voters, but hell, most of us aren't even interested. >.< Or we just like to complain, and nothing happens. *shrug*

Some congressman (one of them Democratic; I don't remember the names) want to remove the 22nd Amendment, though. Wouldn't that be fun.

I'm having some difficulty viewing the video (my genius sister deleted quicktime). And why did this thread have to turn into the 597824323955th Bush rant?

Clearly people are not tired of him yet. And they claim they want him out by 2009! LIES.
